How to Apply

Who is eligible?
Families are eligible to apply to stay at Ronald McDonald Family Retreat Forster if:

their child has been diagnosed with a serious or life threatening illness, or
the family has bereaved following the death of a child in the past 12 months.

Please note:

If necessary, the illness will be confirmed with your doctor or appropriately qualified person
Forster Beach House does not cater for infectious diseases or children with extreme mobility difficulties
Our charter is to support seriously ill children. Children with disabilities are unfortunately not eligible; however, if a disabled child has been recently hospitalised or has a serious illness, please submit an application for review.
The health status of our guests means Forster's Family Retreat is a non-smoking and pet-free environment.

What is the cost and length of stay?

Forster's Family Retreat is free to eligible families. Each family can stay for a maximum of seven days.

What is the approval process?

Families wishing to stay at Forster's Family Retreat should complete and return the Application Form to the address at the top of the form.

All applications will be assessed by a review panel. On approval a reservation number will be issued to the applicants. The applicants may then contact the booking agent, quoting the reservation number and booking the best available time.

A letter will be sent to you with details about what to bring, collection of keys and directions to the cabins. Proof of identity will be required on collection of keys and a credit card imprint will be required as a bond.

No correspondence will be entered into and the committee decision on elegibility will be final.
